A very merry half birthday to me!

A very merry half birthday indeed! Cooperman has made it an entire 6 months with the morons he calls parents! No major illnesses, no major injuries, and no major panic attacks! As we left the hospital 6 months ago I was thinking to myself...this is going to be interesting. And interesting it has been! In the last 6 months we have watched this little lump of sweetness turn into a busy, active, hilarious baby boy! He is learning something new everyday and I feel like he changes every time I look at him. We have accomplished alot in he last 6 months: 6 hockey games, 3 basketball games, 4 movies, miles of car travel, one trip to Texas on a plane, and a few full nights of sleep. We are crawling, eating baby food, and babbling up a storm! Here are a few pictures of our 6 month old boy!

Anxiety...of the separation kind

I love my mommy...I'm just gonna go ahead and throw that out there. We are very close, and I have mommy withdraws when I haven't seen her for weeks on end. I knew Cooper would love me. He's my baby. My love. I carried him for 9 months, birthed him, fed him. I knew we would be attached to each other. Just like my mom and I are. However, I didn't know how attached that would be. We are currently going through the lovely phase of separation anxiety. The anxiety that causes my child to scream like he's being abandoned anytime I'm not within his sight. I can leave the living room where he's playing so nicely in the exersaucer and I turn the corner and my happy, smiling child immediately turns on the waterworks. And our new favorite game is to scream bloody murder in the car. I am not the best driver in the world, but add a screaming baby in the back and its all I can do to not slam into every car around me. But mommy sits in the back with Cooper and everything's golden. Bot, when this phase passes..the streets of Nashville will be a little bit safer. I love my baby, and I'm trying to cherish the fact that he needs me know...I know it won't always be like this.

Sippy heaven.

Cooper has never been a bottle baby...a boob man-yes, but not a bottle baby. So for Easter we got sippy cups in our Easter basket and immediately filled one up! Cooper loves to hold the handles and can get it to his mouth, but really the only thing he wants to do with it is chew.....sigh. We chew on everything! If I tip it up for him he will sometimes find the center of his mouth and get a little water out. But mostly we just chew on it. Oh well, it's practice at least! Here's a picture of my sweet man chewing on his new sippy cup.

My Easter Bunny

The Easter bunny came to our house! We had such a great first easter with Cooper. Nothing to exciting but just a really nice day! We made it to church on time...barely (even though we had like 4 hours to get ready).
We ate lunch at Dotson's in Franklin and then spent the rest of the day hanging out! Cooper loved that the Easter bunny brought him baby food and sippy cups. Here are a few pictures but check out the smugmug site for the rest.
