Take me out to the Ballgame!

Awhile back, Ryan's parents were visiting (we were using them for slave labor around the house..mulch/power washing/etc.) We all decided to take a break and go see "Uncle Tripp" umpire a Memphis Redbirds game! This was Cooper's first non-college game of the summer and boy, did he have a blast! He racked up all kinds of swag and ate himself silly. It was only like 110 degrees so we were all sweating like crazy, but it was worth it to see him have so much fun! The game went into 11 innings, so we didn't quite make it through the whole thing, but it was safe to say Cooper could have. He was wide awake at 1am when we forced him into pajamas and into bed. The fun was just too much! Here are some pictures of my baby enjoying his time at the ballpark:

Winnie the Pooh

While every single person on the planet was off seeing Harry Potter...we were in the theater hitting milestones! Cooper is almost 2 and pretty good at paying attention to movies (in the car) so we decided it was time... Mommy loves to go to the movies. I will go by myself and see just about anything!  I want Cooper to have that same love of going to the theater (mostly so he can be my movie buddy...for child appropriate films, of course.) Winnie the Pooh seemed like the perfect choice for a first movie. He loved the previews and the fact that there were bees in the movie. He is still talking about the "backson"  (the pretend monster in the movie.) We made it through the whole thing and only had a little fidget-y moment with about 10 minutes to go. We probably won't be making movies a regular outing anytime soon, but its good to know he can make it if there's anything special we want to go see together!

Patti's and More 4th Fun!

On the fourth we all went to Patti's 1880's settlement for some yummy food and some animal fun! Here are a few pictures of Cooper enjoying the animals at Patti's and wearing his flag shirt!

Don't Rain on My Parade!

Of course we spent fourth of July weekend at the lake. How could we not? On the Saturday before the 4th we headed into Murray to watch the parade and walk around on the square. Cooper loves parades. I mean the kid is amazed by every aspect (and he doesn't even know they throw candy.) Here are a few pictures of the kiddo enjoying the parade despite the intense heat and sweat (yuck):

Now that our summer travels are over I should have constant access to the blog. Hopefully this means more updates..I'll try to catch up soon! But, no promises, this kid doesn't give me much time to myself :-)
