The Great Disney Blog Post #6 The Last Day!

I planned lots of fun things to do the last day because I knew we would be so sad to leave! We were doing Magic Kingdom again and making our way through Frontierland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, and finishing up a few rides we missed the day before. Grampy, Ryan, Emily, and I raced ahead to ride Big Thunder Mtn Railroad while Grammy and Cooper took their time coming down Main Street. We rode twice  quickly before meeting them at the Jungle Cruise. We also had time to ride Aladdin's Magic Carpets before Cooper's appointment at The Pirate's League. Daddy and Grampy took Cooper to Pirate's League and he got to pick out his make-up style (Captain Hook,) they gave him a pirate name (Benjamin Squidcheese,) and he had to take a pirate oath. He had the BEST time. Daddy said he took the whole thing very seriously and had a great time talking to everyone around him. He had the cast members laughing and stayed in character all day! By far the best money we spent the whole week! While they were busy being pirates Grammy grabbed a huge cinnamon roll from the Main St. Bakery while Emily and I grabbed Dole Whip floats. So yummy!

We met up with them when they were all through and rode Pirates of the Caribbean. Its still such a classic and Cooper loved it! Then Grampy, Daddy, and Cooper went to do the Tomorrowland Speedway since we didn't have time the day before. It was definitely one of Cooper's favorite rides. He got to drive the car and laughed the whole time. Emily, Grammy, and I went to the Tiki Room show while we waited and then we all headed for the Haunted Mansion. I was worried Cooper wouldn't like it, but he got off and said "That wasn't so scary, Mommy." We then ate lunch at the Columbia Harbour House.

After Lunch we went back to Fantasyland to ride Small World. We also grabbed Fast Passes to ride Peter Pan again. We watched the show in front of the castle, rode the cars again, watched Philharmagic, and got snacks before watching the parade. After that we had some time to go see the Country Bear Jamboree and ride Pirates again before Peter Pan. Ryan and I rode Space Mtn and before we knew it, it was time for our dinner reservation at Tony's Town Square. Cooper crashed right before dinner and slept until we woke him up for one last Wishes fireworks show.

We had a wonderful trip and I absolutely can't wait to go back. Cooper talks about it all the time and hopes he's "bigger" next time so he can ride the few rides he wasn't tall enough for (its how I get him to eat his veggies.) Thanks for bearing with me as I recapped our trip! Bye Disney World, we miss you!

The Great Disney Blog post #5- Magic Kingdom Day 1

We saved the Magic Kingdom for last because we knew it would be our favorite and we wanted to end the trip in front of the castle watching the fireworks. Goofy, I know, but the trip was picture perfect so it might as well end the same. We did two days at MK due to there being SO MUCH to do! The first day we had scheduled to do Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Fantasyland had recently undergone an expansion and we hit the new stuff first! Enchanted tales with Belle was great. Cooper got to be the footstool and had his picture taken with Belle. Then we did Under the Sea (Little Mermaid) and Peter Pan (a major favorite for Cooper as we were in our Peter Pan costume that day.)

After Peter Pan, we headed to Storybook Circus and rode Goofy's Barnstormer and Dumbo! Then we rode Winnie the Pooh before heading to Be Our Guest for lunch. It was delicious and the restaurant was so beautiful!

After lunch we hit the Teacups before going to Tomorrowland! We did the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Carousel of Progress, Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, and Buzz Lightyear. We also went over to Adventureland to meet Peter Pan! Cooper was really shy but he was happy to meet him!

We found Tinkerbelle!

Before grabbing dinner we met the Princesses (Rapunzel, Princess Aurora, and Cinderella.) Cinderella is Cooper's girl so we had to go meet her. She did a great job talking to him and he even sat in her lap for pictures. She let us go with a kiss on the cheek! After that we grabbed a spot for the parade and fireworks. Cooper still talks about how much he loved the fireworks and the projection show on the castle before was so awesome!

The Great Disney Blog Post #4: Animal Kingdom!

Our Animal Kingdom day started super early! We had to get down to the bus an hour before we had the last two days because we had a special breakfast with Donald at the Tusker House! This was our only character  meal (no one in our group had done one before) and we were so excited! We got to walk through the park before it opened and got to take some pictures without anyone else walking through!

our "rawr" faces
We got checked in to the restaurant and got to take a picture with Donald before we were seated! We ate ourselves silly! The food was great and Cooper had a blast meeting Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy. We would totally do this one again!

After breakfast we walked on to the Kilimanjaro Safari (which was so cool!) and headed down to meet Chip and Dale, Baloo and King Louie, and hang with Donald again. After that we saw the Festival of the Lion King (one of Ryan's favorite things of the trip)  and then I went and rode Expedition Everest by myself (chickens.)

Everest was so awesome!
We met in Dinoland and rode the Triceratop spin. Ryan, Emi, and I rode Dinosaur, then Ryan, Emi and Grampy rode it again. We saw the Nemo musical and grabbed snacks before getting a spot for the parade! The parade was great ( our spot was awesome) and we had fastpasses for the safari one more time! Emi and I tried to ride Everest before we had to leave, but there wasn't enough time. We had a fancy dinner reservation to get to!

We hopped on a bus and got off at the Polynesian resort! We had a reservation at 'Ohana, a Polynesian family style restaurant. The food was so delicious! Ryan and Cooper got to limbo and walk around with maracas, Rob and Debbie danced to a ukulele player and we got to watch Wishes (the fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom) from the window.
