Buses, Trains, and Bands Galore!

We took Cooper to the Double Decker Festival this past weekend! There was food all over the place, art vendors with all kinds of cool stuff (we already picked up a few Christmas presents), and music! Also, there were things for Cooper to ride...the best part! He was so good sitting in his stroller while we walked around looking at the art booths and eating lunch so we took him over to catch a ride on the double decker bus!

We also headed over to the kids area and daddy rode the train with Cooper! If there is a train anywhere within a mile of us, Cooper better be headed to ride it or there will be blood. But seriously, he loves trains.

We were all sun-drenched and worn out by mid afternoon so we all headed home to crash. Until next year Double Decker!

Rebel Baseball

There is one thing Cooper and his daddy have in common more than anything, their love of sports! Cooper follows football, hockey, soccer, and especially baseball. He loves talking about baseball teams he likes and he begs to go to games every day. So when we can, we take him to watch Ole Miss play. He loves to sit in the outfield or the seats and asks questions and cheers the whole time! On Sundays they let the kids run the bases after the game and Cooper asks if he can run the bases from the second we arrive.

The Many Hunts of Easter

So now that we're almost a good month past Easter...I can blog about it. We had more egg hunts this year than I could count and by the time we got to Easter Sunday Cooper was over it! He did great at his school hunt and at the one the Oxford Park Commission put on (always awesome.) He had a blast and loved piling eggs into his basket.

Easter weekend we had Grammy, Grampy, and Emi come stay with us. We ate, played, and did everything Cooper wanted to do for a whole weekend. He had a blast and loved getting a basket from the Easter Bunny! I think I'm still on a sugar high from the candy left in my house! Cooper still wanted to talk all about Easter for a few weeks after and I know next year he'll be ready!

First Easter Egg Hunt of 2012

At the end of March we headed out to Rowan Oak (the home of William Faulkner) with the Oxford Moms and Tots! Cooper got to hunt with the kids his age and had the best time picking up eggs. He really got into it this year! He was even more excited when he found out the eggs came with stuff inside! His personal favorite were the little bubble bottles! We hung out with all the other kids and had a great picnic too. The house and property were so cool and we can't wait to go back and explore some more.

Don't worry there will be so many pictures that look the same to come! We have 3 more egg hunts before Easter!

Diva and Pawpaw here we come!

We took a trip out to Texas to see Diva and Pawpaw for Spring break! It was the first time Coop has been out there since last summer so I wasn't sure how he would do on the plane or if he would remember being at their house and sleep well. But he did so great (even when his DVD player died 30 minutes into the first flight!) He was so good while we were there and got to do so many fun things. He loves spending time with Diva and Pawpaw especially because we don't get to see them all the time (that also gives them a bigger reason to spoil him while we're there ;)) Here are some highlights of our fabulous vacation to the beautiful city of Midland!

Racers, Racers, Goooo Racers!

Ryan grew up in Murray, Ky and we met while both in school at Murray State. While we support many schools in athletics, Murray State will always hold a special place in our hearts! Every year we try to make it to at least one game (and the OVC tournament) to cheer on the Racers. This year that game happened to be the Bracket Buster match against St. Mary's. The same game that the famed announcer Dickie V came to visit Murray for the first time to call the game. We had so much fun seeing everyone and getting to catch up with a few friends we don't get to see that often. It also made the trip sweeter when we beat St. Mary's pretty convincingly on a national stage. Go Racers!

I promise we're still here!

I have been majorly slacking in the blog arena lately.,..but I'm trying to catch up! Bear with me...

Cooper and I have been hanging out with a wonderful group of women in Oxford belonging to the group Oxford Moms and Tots. It is so nice to have organized activities to take Cooper to and visit with other moms. We went with the group to the Children's Museum of Memphis and Cooper had a blast! He was so into the interactive games and loved running around! They had a river that the kids could "fish" in and I had to rip him away to try other things..We will definitely be going back again!
