The Lone Star State (or Diva and Pawpaw's house)

We recently went to visit Diva and Pawpaw and had such a blast! Cooper is so fun these days and was so  hilarious to watch! Last time we went to visit he was only 4 months old and wasn't even rolling over yet. But this time kiddo was everywhere...We went to the pool, the mall, the salon, and the YMCA. And everywhere we went people just oo'd and ahh'd over how cute and smiley he is! I know, I know...he's the cutest baby ever. He IS my child after all. Here are some pictures of our trip!

We can't wait for Diva to come see us at the end of this month! And we can't wait until we get to go back! (Even though I'm not getting on a plane with him until he's old enough to sit on his own..it was exhausting wrestling Ferdinand the bull in my seat). So glad we're back home for the moment, but we have alot of fun events coming up this month...and next month we're moving to Oxford, Mississippi!

Weekend with the girls.

I was so excited to spend last weekend with my favorite girlfriends! Jennifer, Kari, and Aimee came from all over the surrounding area to spend the weekend catching up and remember the good ole AOPi times. Jennifer is living in Western Ky and expecting her first little boy in September! Cooper can't wait to meet his new little friend! And we all loved rubbing on her belly all weekend! Aimee came from Alabama (but we won't hold that against her). And my Kari is working hard for the TVA in Chattanooga! I miss having all these girls so close to me like I did at Murray, but it's so nice to spend time visiting with them and catching up on what's going on in their lives. I love my sisters (start with the eye rolls), and I hope we can do this more often! Especially because terrifying Kari with baby/labor stories is oh so fun! I miss and love you girls!!!!!!!!

Memorial Day weekend at the Lake

When the weather gets hot and sunny and the days are getting longer, it can only mean one thing...time to go to the lake house! Grammy and Grampy have a house on KY lake (specifically Johnathan Creek) and we have been visiting the last few summers and love the time we spend there. last summer I was pregnant and sooo hot! But we were so looking forward to bringing Cooper this year. Well, Memorial Day seemed like the perfect weekend to start! We loaded up Friday morning and hit the road! We spent three glorious days hanging out on the dock, riding around on the boat, and eating lake food.*
Cooper wasn't really big on the boat rides...he fell asleep after two minutes. This after we spent 30 minutes getting him sunscreened, dressed, and packed for a morning on the boat. 


But Cooper had so much fun playing with Grammy and Aunt Linda. We know that by the end of the summer he'll be more into the boat and even more so next year. Here are some more pictures of our weekend.
This weekend Mommy's friends from Murray are coming to visit! Yay!!!! And next weekend we are going to Texas to see Diva and Pawpaw!!!!! Mommy is just slightly concerned about the fact that she has to fly with a child who dives off of stairs and has a tendency to pull chunks of hair out of her head. We'll definitely keep you updated on how that goes. 

* Belew's-fried burgers, milkshakes, and fries
    Dinner Bell- home cooking....you leave feeling like you've gained 20 lbs and need to be rolled out like the girl on Willy Wonka...you know the blueberry?
   Willow Pond- friend everything and phenomenal hushpuppies
    Matt B's- not really lake food but it's in Murray and really freakin good.
